Laser cutting often eliminates the need for tooling and other machining processes. Edge quality and precision are improved with lasers. Compared to other techniques, laser cutting is more efficient and uses less energy. Laser cutting has many other benefits including:

  • Wider range of workable materials and thicknesses
  • Quick and efficient cutting process
  • Greatly reduced set up time

Let our project management and metal fabrication experts help you meet your business needs!

Wide range of metal cutting options to meet the needs of any project

At Waupaca MetalFab we aim to develop partnerships with our customers that allows us to tailor the approach to each customer's exact needs, and our wide range of metal cutting equipment and expertise allow us to meet the needs of any project.

Precision Laser Cutting

Laser metal cutting is suitable for a wide range of applications and is ideal for cutting a variety of different metals. it’s energy-efficient performance and high precision result in lightening fast turnaround times and low per-part costs. Our advanced laser cutting machinery allows us to laser cut metals of roughly similar thickness to those usually serviced by plasma cutting.

HD Plasma Cutting

Plasma metal cutting can be used on any electrically conductive material and is an ideal choice for cutting mild and stainless steel. Plasma cuts are performed quicker than many other types, and the speed of plasma cutting minimized heat transfer to the material, reducing the risk of cracking and warping and ensuring maximum material integrity and strength.

Flame Cutting

Also known as Oxyfuel gas cutting, flame cutting refers to the cutting of metals by a jet of pure oxygen. Oxyfuel cutting applications are limited to carbon and low alloy steel, ranging from 1” -12” thick. These materials can be cut economically, and setup is simple and quick; no electric power is required, and equipment costs are low.

Waterjet Cutting

Water jet cutting uses a jet of pressurized water, shooting as high as sixty thousand pounds per square inch, to cut metal and a multitude of other materials. Water jets are capable of cutting many industrial materials, including stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, aluminum, tool steel, ceramics, granite, and armor plate, at thicknesses of up to 2 inches.
